Studio 64 Salon + Spa Branding Session | Jasper Alabama Branding Photographer
When Jordan first reached out and mentioned 10 years, I thought we were talking about photographing a big anniversary party.
I was READY for a party. 😂
Then we started talking through what Studio 64 actually needed, and the idea got even better: a full branding session for the salon, the team, and the people who make the business what it is.
And this one felt extra fun for me because Studio 64 wasn’t a business I was walking into for the first time. I had already spent plenty of time in Jordan’s chair as a client, so getting to come back with my camera and photograph the whole team felt very full-circle.
More than a team headshot
The goal with a business branding session is never just to give everyone one nice picture.
Of course, we got those.
We started with the Studio 64 team in white tops and denim, which gave them a clean, cohesive look without making everyone wear exactly the same thing. We photographed smaller groups, larger groups, seated arrangements, standing portraits, and the full team inside the salon.
Then we moved outside for another round with more color and personality.
Those photographs alone give Studio 64 plenty to work with for team pages, social media, announcements, recruiting, anniversary posts, and website updates.
But the real value of a branding session starts when we move beyond the group photo.
Showing what Studio 64 actually feels like
Studio 64 is a salon and spa in Jasper, Alabama, and their branding needed to show more than smiling faces.
People want to know what it feels like to walk through the door.
So we photographed the space itself — the warm wood, salon stations, product shelves, mirrors, shampoo area, treatment spaces, and all the little visual details that make the studio recognizable.
Then we put the team to work.
Hair being curled and styled.
Color products being mixed and pulled from the shelves.
Scissors in hand.
Facial products and treatment tools.
Makeup brushes.
Blow dryers, flat irons, round brushes, extension swatches, and all the things that are completely normal inside a salon but make GREAT content when photographed intentionally.
Instead of trying to make every image look like a formal portrait, I wanted the gallery to feel like a real workday at Studio 64 — just a very well-photographed one.
Individual branding photos that still feel like the person
Once we had the big team story covered, we made sure each person had room to show a little personality.
Some of the portraits are simple and polished.
Some are sitting in the salon chair.
Some include the tools they actually use.
Some are a little more playful.
And some are just straight-up funny, because if your team has personality, your branding photos should not suddenly make everybody look like they work at a law firm. 😂
One of my favorite parts of this gallery is how different the individual sets feel while still looking like they belong to the same business.
That is exactly what I want from a team branding session.
Your brand should feel consistent without making every person disappear into the same pose.
The service photos are content GOLD
If you own a service-based business, this is probably the part I wish more people thought about before their branding session.
Photographs of you actually doing the work are some of the most useful images you can have.
Studio 64 can use these photos when they’re talking about specific services, introducing team members, explaining what an appointment looks like, sharing educational content, posting booking reminders, or updating service pages on their website.
Instead of searching through your camera roll every time you need to post something, you already have a library of intentional images ready to go.
We photographed everything from hair services and styling to skincare, makeup, product use, consultations, and those little in-between moments that happen around the studio.
That is the difference between “we got branding photos” and “we created actual marketing material.”
Celebrating 10 years of Studio 64
And obviously, we were not leaving without celebrating the whole reason this session started.
TEN YEARS!!!
We brought out the big gold number balloons, got the team together, and ended with exactly the kind of photographs a 10-year business milestone deserves.
Some polished.
Some celebratory.
Some with everybody laughing.
Some involving flying confetti and absolutely no concern for who had to clean it up afterward. 😂
Ten years in business is a huge deal, especially for a local service-based business. There are a lot of clients, appointments, team changes, long days, growing pains, education, and work behind a milestone like that.
I love that these photographs preserve not just what Studio 64 looked like at ten years, but the people who were part of that chapter.
Branding photography for Jasper + West Alabama businesses
This is exactly why I love business branding sessions.
A good gallery can give you website images, headshots, social media content, service photographs, team photos, product images, behind-the-scenes content, recruiting photos, and personality-driven marketing all in one session.
And it does not have to feel stiff or corporate.
Your business already has a personality.
My job is to photograph it.
If you own a salon, spa, creative business, storefront, service-based business, or personal brand around Jasper, Walker County, Fayette, Winfield, or West Alabama, I would love to help you build a photo library that actually looks and feels like the business you worked so hard to create.
Because if you’re going to spend years building the thing, your marketing deserves better than screenshots and whatever happens to be in your camera roll. 😂
